# Development Rules & Terms

The rules you agree to when you create a bot on mssgs.

Version 2026-08-16

### One human behind the account

You create and operate the bot as yourself. The bot is linked to your main account and you are responsible for everything it does.

### No spam or abuse

No unsolicited bulk messages, harassment, scraping of people’s data, or evading moderation and rate limits.

### Respect the channels you’re given

A bot only acts where it has been added and only within the permissions it was granted. Don’t try to reach anything else.

### Keep your token secret

The bot token is a credential. Never commit it or share it. Rotate or revoke it from the dashboard if it leaks.

### Be transparent

A bot must be recognisable as a bot. Don’t impersonate a person, mssgs, or another service.

### We can suspend a bot

Bots that break these rules can be disabled without notice. Repeated abuse can cost you your main account.

These rules sit on top of the general [Terms of Service](https://mss.gs/en/company/eula) and [Privacy Policy](https://mss.gs/en/company/privacy). Questions? [developers@mss.gs](mailto:developers@mss.gs).
