**What is mssgs?**

mssgs is a group chat app for you and your friends. Channels, DMs, voice and built-in games, with your data in the EU.

**Who is behind mssgs?**

mssgs is built by RUAL, a Dutch software company from Brummen with 15+ years of experience in software. More on the [about page](https://mss.gs/en/about).

**Is mssgs a startup?**

No. mssgs is a product of an existing, profitable company. We are bootstrapped - no VC money, no growth-at-all-costs mentality.

**Does mssgs work on my device?**

mssgs has native apps for iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows. All downloads are on the [downloads page](https://mss.gs/en/downloads).

**Can I use mssgs for work too?**

Yes. mssgs is made for friend groups and communities, but you can also choose a work account when signing up. See also the [use cases](https://mss.gs/en/use-cases).

## Features & Technical

**What features does mssgs have?**

Channels, voice calls, built-in games, file sharing, custom bots, webhooks and smart search. Work accounts also get workflow automations. See the [features page](https://mss.gs/en/features) for the full overview.

**Which games are included?**

Eight games you play right in the chat, including Four in a Row, Battleship, Checkers and Stratego. See them all on the [games page](https://mss.gs/en/games).

**Does mssgs have video calls?**

Yes. Calls support voice, camera and screen sharing, in channels and DMs.

**Can I share files?**

Yes, you can share files in chats.

**Does mssgs have an API?**

Yes, there is a REST API for custom integrations and bots.

**What integrations are available?**

Native integrations with GitHub and Unifi. Plus webhooks for anything you want to build yourself. Details on the [integrations page](https://mss.gs/en/integrations).

**Does mssgs work offline?**

No, mssgs requires an internet connection.

**Is there a mobile app?**

Yes, there are native apps for iPhone and Android.

## Privacy & Security

**Where is my data stored?**

100% on servers in the EU (Netherlands/Germany). Your data never leaves Europe.

**Is mssgs GDPR compliant?**

Yes, fully. We can also sign a data processing agreement if you need one.

**Can you read my messages?**

No. Private chats are end-to-end encrypted. We have no access to the content.

**Is my data sold?**

No, never. We make money from the product, not from your data.

**What about encryption?**

Private chats: end-to-end encrypted. All data: AES-256 encrypted at rest, TLS in transit. More details on the [security page](https://mss.gs/en/security).

**What if there is a data breach?**

We will inform you within 72 hours in accordance with GDPR. We have incident response procedures and regular security audits.

**Is there 2FA?**

Yes, two-factor authentication is available for all accounts.

## Pricing

**How much does mssgs cost?**

mssgs is free to start. No credit card needed.

**Is there an account for teams and businesses?**

Yes. When creating an account you choose between a group account and a work account.

## Account & Support

**How do I create an account?**

Go to mss.gs and click on 'Create account'. You can start immediately.

**How do I get support?**

Email us at support@mss.gs. We usually respond within 24 hours.

**Can I export my data?**

Yes, you can export all your data at any time. Full data portability.

**How do I cancel?**

Email us at support@mss.gs and we will take care of it.

**What happens to my data when I stop?**

You get 30 days to export your data. After that, everything is permanently deleted.
