# Profile Management

Avatar, bio, username, badges and your public profile page at mss.gs/@you.

Your profile is how people recognize you. Find it under **Settings → Profile** (or tap your own avatar anywhere).

## What you can set

- **Avatar** - upload a photo; a built-in editor crops it right

- **Display name & styling** - the name people see, with optional styling

- **Bio** - a few lines about you

- **Username** - unique, how friends find you, and the address of your public profile: mss.gs/@username

## Badges

Some profiles carry badges: **Verified**, **Staff**, **Moderator**, **Premium** and **BOT**. They appear next to the name everywhere in the app and on the public profile page - so you can always tell who (or what) you're talking to.

## Your public page

Every user gets a public page at mss.gs/@username with your avatar, bio, badges and - if you post them - your public stories. Handy to share with people who don't have mssgs yet.
