v14.7.20182 Työpöytä Uusin 14 loka 2026

New Features

A new sign-in screen with the same look as the mssgs app on your phone.
Sign in with your Apple account or your Google account, right from the first screen.
Log in with a QR code: scan it with a phone where you are already signed in to mssgs and approve it there.
mssgs now speaks 28 languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Polish, Turkish and Ukrainian.
A setting, tool or feature shared from the phone app now shows as a card with a Show me button, and a right-click lets you share one yourself.
Eight new stickers for sarcastic reactions and achievements.

Bug Fixes

A lost DM streak can still be restored for three days, even after a new streak has started.
Opening the feed again shows how long ago each post was made, as of now.
A reply sent from a post's page now closes the page and appears at the top of the feed.
A picture loading in a bot card no longer makes the chat look as if it scrolled up.
An account that has been banned now sees why it cannot sign in, on every sign-in screen.

v14.6.20160 – v14.6.20180 11 Työpöytä 12 loka 2026

New Features

Clips made in clip mode are saved privately to your profile, where only you can see them.
A clip made in clip mode now shows the same clip card as one made in a watch party, with Download file, Edit, Export and Send to.
Send to lets you pick exactly which channel or conversation a clip-mode clip goes to.
Making someone a moderator now opens a window where you pick which role they get and decide exactly what that role may do.
Rare rights such as creating, renaming and deleting channels start off, and the rights a server could go either way on are yours to decide.
Each right is one press away from allowed or blocked, and a blocked right holds even when a lower role gives it.
A changed role can be saved as a new role with its own name, leaving the original exactly as it was.
Channel permissions show the settings that fit the kind of channel, and an announcement channel lets you choose who may post in it.
A reply in the feed shows the post it answers and opens as the whole conversation.
Link previews are more compact: a short banner or a slim row with the title and picture.
Premium tells you when it has expired, together with your balance and the way to renew.
Over two hundred new stickers, from teasing and cooking to payments and Premium.
A profile now shows everything the person posted and reposted, text posts included, the way the feed shows them, and you can like, reply, repost and share right there.
A profile's photos and videos have their own Media tab.
Replies to public posts show up in the feed as their own rows, and pressing one opens the post at that reply.
The + in the feed now lets you choose between a text post and a photo post, also from the keyboard.
Press Direct Messages to see everyone you talk to without opening a chat.
The email code screen has a button to send a new code, and signing up suggests a fix when an email address looks mistyped.
Sixty new expressive stickers, and the party reactions now move to their own beat.
Replying in the feed is easier: the reply box stays at the bottom of a post and shows which post or reply you are answering.
You can now reply to a reply, and the post's author is marked Creator in the replies.
Clicking a photo in the feed opens the post with its text and replies, and a double click likes it.
Photos open full screen as the whole picture, with every photo of a slideshow and a Description button for the text that came with it.
Report a post or block its author from the post menu, and see who liked your own posts.
A profile's posts now show only photos and videos, and the ones with text are marked.
Location sharing has a new look: one panel with everyone you share with, and a radar that shows how far around you each person can see you.
On a server you manage, the pencil at the top of a channel lets you rename the server, the channel and the categories right where they are, change the server icon, and drag channels into place.
The connection panel in a call now shows how long your voice takes to reach the other person, and where that time goes.
Import a server from Discord with its template link: channels, categories, roles and who can see what come across in one go.
Add an invite link and the server icon comes along too, and a Discord link you already copied is offered as soon as the import opens.
An imported server shows what is still missing, such as its icon or a role, and brings it over from Discord with a link.
Imported more than one server? Switch between them in one place to finish each import.
Every import ends with an invite link that never expires and a message ready to post in your old Discord server.
Petalwar Player and Petalwar Bughunter, two badges handed out by hand, for playing Petalwar and for reporting a bug in it.
AI tools connected through the local integration can now use File Drop to see who is nearby, send files, enter the code for a first drop, and follow or decline drops.
A File Drop sent by an AI tool is announced in your direct messages with the person it is for. With the new Agree over text channel option, their AI tool can accept it, or a drop from someone whose code you accepted this week, and save it into a folder it chooses.
AI tools can send files to a person on any device, as a message in your conversation with them, or with File Drop when the files are too big for a message.
AI tools are told the moment a File Drop arrives or changes, instead of checking over and over.
A File Drop from someone you have already exchanged a code with now plays a short sound.
A soundboard in calls with eight built-in sounds, your server's own sounds and an entrance sound that plays when you join.
Server managers can upload sounds for the soundboard in the server settings.
Set a status on a voice channel so everyone can see what is happening there.
Raise your hand in a muted room, and moderators can let you speak from the room settings.
Rooms can be set to push to talk only, and priority speakers turn everyone else down while they talk.
Choose an AFK channel and timeout in the server settings, and people who stay silent are moved there.
Choose your camera, preview it in the settings and see your own picture mirrored.
Watch a shared screen in fullscreen or in picture-in-picture.
Set your own input sensitivity with a live meter that shows what is sent.
Shared screen and watch party sound is lowered while people in the call are talking.
New group permissions: Use voice activity, Use soundboard and Priority speaker.
The channel list shows who is muted, deafened or sharing their screen, and a LIVE badge marks voice channels with a stream in them.
The member list shows who is in a voice channel, and clicking it takes you there.
Moderators can deafen someone in a voice channel, and a server mute now stays on when the person leaves and comes back.
Voice channels can have a user limit, set in the channel settings. Members who can move others can always join a full channel.
The app tells you when you are talking into a muted microphone.
A new Call sounds setting turns the join, leave, mute and deafen tones on or off, and the mute and deafen buttons now play them too.
An incoming call now rings while you are in a voice channel, and answering it moves you to the call.
The call bar names the person you are calling, says Ringing until they answer, and takes you back to the call when you click it.
Right-click someone in a call and click their name or picture to open their profile.

Bug Fixes

A clip made in clip mode is never posted into the channel that happens to be open.
Saving an edit to a clip-mode clip no longer posts it, even with automatic posting switched on.
A moderator who creates an announcement channel can now post in it.
A right given for a single channel no longer counts for the whole server.
The member list updates when someone joins, or when a role or permission changes.
A permission set for one channel no longer shows up in the member list of other channels.
The invite screen shows the server's own icon.
Updates no longer throw away a partial download after ten seconds.
Like and reply counts in the feed catch up after the app was offline, instead of staying wrong until a restart.
Stickers and GIFs in a chat show that they are loading, and try again when loading fails.
People who just signed up on the website are taken to signing in, not to registering again.
Emoji and stickers in replies sent from the iPhone app now show at their full size.
Names and links in replies now open the right profile or page.
Voices in a call are no longer held back to stay in step with someone's camera or screen share.
A frozen location share can now always be unfrozen, also without Premium.
The app's diagnostic log is now kept in a file, so it survives a reset of the app's storage and writes far less while you use mssgs.
Shutting down a Windows PC no longer signs you out of mssgs.
Joining a voice channel that is full, or that you cannot enter, now says why instead of doing nothing.
Switching voice channels, being moved or answering a call keeps you muted if you were muted, and leaves the previous channel straight away.
A direct message call keeps its sound when you open other chats.
The app says why you were disconnected from a call, and rejoins by itself after a lost connection.
Pressing Escape no longer declines calls, including a call you are making.
The screen share button stays correct when you stop sharing from the system menu.
A screen share no longer falls back to your whole screen when the window you picked has closed.
Noise suppression is active from the first moment you speak in a call.
Push to talk and dragging the floating call window no longer get stuck after zooming into a shared screen.
A call in a direct message with ghost mode or a streak banner is no longer pushed off the screen.
Your speaking indicator and your voice in clips keep working after you change microphones.
A call keybind without Ctrl, Alt or Command no longer blocks that key in other apps.
The media play and pause keys no longer mute your microphone during a call.

v58 Android 4 loka 2026

New Features

Calls and voice channels run on the mssgs voice server and are end-to-end encrypted. Tap the lock to compare codes with the others in the call.
Installed mssgs from a friend's invite link? Their invite code is now picked up for you.
A much smaller download: the animated stickers now load the first time you use them and stay on your phone after that.
Tap a sticker to see its name and pack.

Bug Fixes

Animated stickers stop playing once they scroll off screen, which saves battery.
A slow two-step verification sign-in no longer logs itself out.
The last two-step verification code box is no longer squeezed.

v56 Android 2 loka 2026

New Features

mssgs originals: more than 1,400 animated stickers built into the app, with instant search.
Use a passkey for two-step verification, with backup codes as a fallback.
Picture-in-picture for videos and calls.
Now also in Danish, Swedish, Russian, Italian and Finnish, and you can pick the app's language in your phone's settings.
Community channels show up as conversations in your notifications.

Bug Fixes

Faster startup.
Fixed a crash in the feed and sharing to a chat from another app.

v14.6.20154 – v14.6.20156 2 Työpöytä 30 syys 2026

Bug Fixes

A message that could not be sent now waits on a bar above the message box, where you can read it in full, send it again or discard it, and it is never posted twice.
Deleting a message removes it from the conversation immediately, even on a poor connection, and the deletion completes as soon as you are back online.
The Brismania animal stickers have been redrawn with corrected poses and proportions.

New Features

Five new animated sticker packs: School Days, On the Go, Phone & Time, Daily Life and Play & Move.
Registered games now show their own icon next to Playing in the member list, the DM header and the game details.

v14.5.20054 – v14.5.20153 74 Työpöytä 28 syys 2026

New Features

Share a guest link from a game lobby: a friend without an account can join and play that game right in their browser.
New accounts can start a game straight from the home screen with the new Play a game card.
A game link from the mssgs website now opens that game for you as soon as you have signed up.
Joining a community starts with the most popular open communities right away, so there is something to discover before you type anything.
Community search has a fresh look, with member counts, descriptions and results that appear as you type.
Communities you are already in are marked as joined in search and open with one click.
Tip jars now show their top donations, so you can see who gave and how much.
Invite links in a profile description now appear as a card with the community name and a Join button.
A new Speed optimization setting under Settings, Appearance turns off the frosted-glass effect, making menus and panels solid and using far less graphics memory and power.
Resizing the window, opening the member list and switching themes are faster after you have visited several channels.
The desktop app takes up about 110 MB less disk space.
A new Streaks sticker pack with fourteen animated stickers: streak fire, a daily check-in, 3, 7, 30 and 100 day milestones, and reminders not to lose your streak.
A new Little Bots sticker pack with ten animated robot reactions, from hello and thinking to done, error and bye.
Chat Reactions gains four poor and broke stickers, including an empty wallet and a sympathetic Poor Thing.
A conversation where you typed a message but never sent it now shows a small amber note next to its name, in both the DM list and the channel list.
Hover the note to see the start of the message that is still waiting to be sent.
Sticker packs now open from picture tiles, just like the GIF categories, with a Recently used tile for the stickers you sent last.
Sticker search understands plurals, phrases such as "good morning" and "happy birthday", interjections and stretched words such as "hm" or "loool", related words and small typos, and looks through every pack at once.
When a search finds nothing, the picker suggests a few popular words to try instead.
The Stickers tab now shows only mssgs originals, so the KLIPY sticker switch is gone.
Four new nameplate collections are in the Shop: Scenic Escapes, Nature & Bloom, Paws & Serpents and Little Bear Days, each priced as a piece of art rather than as part of a set.
Scenic Escapes and Nature & Bloom need no Premium to buy or wear; Paws & Serpents joins the Premium-only collections.
Whoever runs a voice room can now set its rules from the stage: mute everyone at once, keep a waiting room, and name the people who are allowed to speak.
A moderator can mute somebody for a set time, from five minutes to a day, and the panel counts it down for both of you.
Somebody can be moved to another voice channel from their panel, or by dragging their face onto that channel in the list.
A call now shows when somebody has their sound turned off, so going quiet no longer reads as being ignored.
Switching accounts during a call asks first and carries the call across, so nobody hears you leave and come back.
Every nameplate in the Shop now has artwork made for light mode, so all 85 of them suit whichever theme you use.
Settings under Appearance can now turn decorations off for yourself: nameplates in the member list and your conversations, your own nameplate on the bar at the bottom of the channel list, and the illustrated frames around avatars.
The three switches are separate, so you can keep the ones you like, and none of them changes what you or anyone else is wearing for everybody else.
The Decoration Shop is here, in Settings under Shop: avatar decorations, nameplates and profile backgrounds you buy once with coins and keep forever.
Everything you wear is shown to everyone, in chat, the member list, profiles and now your DM list too.
Tap anything in the shop to try it on across the app before you buy, and find what you own under My items.
New collections to browse, including Wildwood, Astral Covenant, Mooncamp Companions, Brismania Trailblazers and 40 Brismania animal nameplates.
The clip editor can now slow down or speed up each piece, draw on the video while it plays, and pick the frame used as the thumbnail.
The connection panel now shows what a screen share is actually using, in both directions, as a rate and as gigabytes per hour.
Credits people gift you with comments on your posts now show as Creator earnings in Settings, next to your own balance.
Verified creators can have their creator earnings paid out to a bank account from Settings, at 1,500 credits per euro from a minimum of €150.
A gift becomes payable 60 days after it was given, and the Credits screen shows how much is still waiting.
Screen sharing now runs at 60 frames a second, so games and anything else that moves look smooth, with three qualities in Settings under Voice: Saver for a metered connection, Smooth in full HD for everyday sharing, and Ultra at 1440p with Premium. Each says what it costs per hour before you pick it.
A weak connection now loses sharpness rather than smoothness: viewers who cannot carry the full picture drop to a smaller one that still runs at 60 frames a second.
Sharing a screen on newer Macs, and streaming one to a watch party, now use the same high quality as everywhere else instead of quietly falling back to a slideshow.
Clip mode now films at 1080p and 60 frames a second, so a clip of a game is as smooth as the game was.
Clips can now be exported at full quality, exactly as they were filmed, and the finished file is shown in Finder when it is saved.
A file that is too large to send now offers File Drop in the same breath, with the file ready to go straight to anyone on your network.
A file that is too large to send can also be sent with mssgs mail, which carries up to 100 MB, and the link opens with your own address ready to make.
Clips are now kept private until you say otherwise. When a clip is saved, mssgs asks once whether to keep it or share it, and sharing posts it where you are and puts it on your profile with a public link.
Watching one of your own clips now offers everything you can do to it, edit, export, download, copy or retract its link, delete, from the clip itself.
Tapping the name or picture at the top of a story now opens that person’s profile, and the story waits for you.
Extra community slots. Two communities come free and ten with Premium, and past that a slot is 1,200 credits a month, bought from the Credits tab or straight from the message that says you are out of room.
A community over its owner's slot allowance is frozen rather than deleted. Everything is still there, it says so when you open it, and it comes back the moment a slot covers it again.
If you co-own a frozen community and have a spare slot, you can take it over. That moves who pays for it and brings it back straight away, without needing the other owner to do anything.
Community search no longer lists invite-only communities, and tells you to ask for an invite link when there is nothing public to show.
Crowd Pleaser and Talk of the Town, for a post seen by 25 and by 50 people. Across everything posted so far, 298 posts have reached 25 and 71 have reached 50, so the second one is genuinely rare.
Explorer and Wayfarer, for posting from 10 and 25 different places. They sit under Adventurer, which asks for 50, so the map has a path rather than one long jump.
Full House, for 50 active friends in your DMs.
Broadcaster, Headliner and Front Page are back, for 10, 50 and 150 posts on the feed. They count the feed you actually use.
The story badges now count from a record kept when you post, rather than from the stories themselves. A story is deleted when it expires, so counting the stories only ever counted the last day, which is why posting every day never added up to anything.
Emote shows: right-click or hold the reaction button in the message bar, or any emote in the reaction row, to put on a show that flies across the whole window for up to two minutes, in five acts. Everyone in the channel sees it as choreographed, and anyone who opens the channel while it plays joins it where it is.
A show opens with five seconds of light rain and a burst, then rolls waves in from both sides with a snake winding between them, draws shapes such as hearts and stars, sets off fireworks, and finally writes your name across the screen. Every act gets its full time, and the shortest show is 35 seconds.
A show runs in the background. It keeps playing while you read another conversation, and a timer at the top of the window says what is flying, how far along it is and how long is left, with buttons to pause it, stop it or hide the timer.
A show can be paused and picked up later, including after closing the app. Unfinished shows are offered with a play button the next time you open the reaction button, and never start again on their own.
Emote shows come with Premium: two every week, and each show after that costs 800 coins, paid straight from the show panel, which says how many coins you are short if your balance does not cover it.
The reaction row now closes when you click anywhere else, instead of only on its own close button.
Chronicler, Diarist and Narrator, for 10, 25 and 50 public stories. They sit below Storyteller, which asks for 100, so there is a path towards it instead of one distant jump.
Badges can be pressed. Opening one on a profile, or in Settings, now says what the badge is, what it takes to earn it, what it pays out, and whether you have it too.
The app now speaks nine languages. Russian, Italian, Finnish, German and French join English, Dutch, Danish and Swedish, and each one is named in its own language in Settings.
Premium now offers itself where a limit stops you instead of only refusing: a file too large to attach, File Drop, creating or joining more communities and using agents each explain the limit and let you buy the month with credits without leaving what you were doing.
After buying Premium there, the file that was refused can be attached again with a single press.
Word of Mouth, for when 25 people open your invite link. It counts the sharing itself, so it pays before anyone signs up.
Invite badges: Recruiter, Ambassador, Evangelist and Icon, for 5, 10, 50 and 100 friends who joined through your invite link. They keep counting after the Invite & Win campaign ends, and friends you brought in before today already count.
Buddy, for your very first invited friend, and Chain Reaction, for when someone you invited brings in someone of their own.
Community Builder and Mayor, for owning a server with 50 or 250 real members, bots and accounts younger than a week do not count.
Storyteller now pays 4,500 credits: a hundred public posts is a lot of work.
A report in the moderation queue now lays its details out as a table, with the post, who could see it and what kind of thing it was on their own rows, instead of the raw text the report was stored as.
Settings, Credits now has a Redeem a code field: type or paste a credit code, with or without its dashes, and the credits are added to your wallet right away.
Moderation badges that award themselves, now in six tiers for map filters (Curator, Expert, Master, Veteran, Champion, Legend, from 50 up to 5,000 reviewed) and three for reports (Report Handler, Report Veteran, Chief Moderator, from 10 up to 500 handled), plus Watchful Eye for reports that led to a removal and Community Regular for being active in five communities.
A Gift button on the message bar drops credits, or a month of Premium, into the channel as a card. The first member to pick it up gets it; if nobody does within 24 hours it comes back to you.
Picking up a drop asks first, because your name goes on the card for the whole channel.
Settings has a Badges tab: every badge you can earn, grouped by category, with the ones you hold lit up and the rest greyed out showing what they take and what they pay.
Five game badges: Player, Regular and Veteran for 10, 50 and 100 games played, and Champion and Grandmaster for 10 and 50 wins.
When moderators uphold a report about your account, the app tells you directly, with how many warnings you have and how many lead to a ban.
If your account is banned you are told why before being signed out, and signing in again explains it as well.
A server that mssgs has blocked now says so in place of its channels, with what its owner has to do to bring it back.
Videos in stories and in direct messages now have a sound button on desktop, so you can hear them instead of watching them muted.
Turning the sound on is remembered, so the next video you open plays with sound as well.
A comment that came with a gift of credits is now shown as a card in the same style as your credits balance, with the gifted amount on a clearer label.
The gift button in the comments composer now sits above the send button, styled to match it, with a gold gift icon.
Passkeys can now be added as a two-factor method under Settings, Security. On desktop the passkey is created and used in your browser, where Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello and security keys live.
Signing in now offers your passkey and your backup codes as second factors, and a different method can be chosen even when the account has a default one.
Backup codes appear in the two-factor list with how many are left, and a passkey shows whether it is synced across your devices.
Premium can now be bought from Settings, Credits: one press spends 8,500 credits for a month, after a confirmation, and adds a month on top when Premium is already active.
Credits can now be topped up from the app, with five packs from 5,000 to 75,000 credits at the same prices as the website and the most popular one marked. Buying one opens the checkout in a window over the app, and the balance updates as soon as the payment lands.
The Credits screen has been redesigned: Premium has its own card with a crown coin that lists everything a month gives you, the sections sit closer together, and a Premium button you cannot afford yet says how many credits are missing.
The Premium badge beside names and on profiles is now the crown coin.
Achievement badges: an Early Supporter coin for everyone who joined before April 2026, shown on profiles, with a reveal when you unlock a badge.
Unlocking a badge that comes with credits adds them to your wallet the moment you dismiss the reveal.
You can now sign in on your phone from the desktop app. Open Settings, choose Log in on your phone, and point the phone's camera at the code: mssgs opens on the phone already signed in, with no password or emailed code to type.
The sign-in code works once and expires after two minutes. An expired code is covered on screen, and a new one is a single click away.
You can now share a contact from the desktop app. Right-click a conversation, or the name at the top of one, and choose Share contact to send that person to any chat you are in.
A shared contact now arrives as a card with the person on it instead of a plain link, and clicking it offers to start a chat with them.
Before a chat request is sent, you are asked to confirm and shown exactly how the request will look to the person receiving it.
The list of conversations in the share sheet now starts with your pinned chats and then the people you spoke to most recently, matching the order of your messages list.
Letting your AirPods or Control Centre mute you during a call is now yours to choose in Settings under Voice, and it is off until you turn it on.
A call now has a deafen button next to mute: one press silences everyone you can hear and turns your microphone off with it, and pressing it again brings both back exactly as they were.
Deafen can be given a key of its own in Settings under Voice, alongside the other call keys, and it works while you are playing something else.
Set your own keys for a call: mute your microphone, turn your camera on or off, stop sharing your screen or hang up, from Settings under Voice. They work while you are playing something else, and muting says so with a short tone.
A server created from desktop, and any server a manager opens, gets its default permissions written onto the everyone group, so older phones no longer refuse GIFs and attachments there.
A role request posted from the phone now shows on desktop as a card matching the invite card, with the roles asked for and the note, and managers can accept, adjust or decline it there. The answer shows as a card too, saying who accepted or declined whose request and which roles came with it.
On the User Groups tab, right-click a group name to copy its ID.
A ghost message can also disappear on a clock: right-click the ghost button to have it go after an hour, a day or a week as well as when seen.
In a watch party, hovering the faces shows how far each person who stepped off the shared playhead is from it, and your own position is shared the same way.
Private stories: invitations you receive appear in the private stories popover with Accept and Decline, the owner can make a member an admin and set what each admin may do, and a photostrip can allow several frames a day.
Comments on a feed post can be read and written on desktop: open a post from a profile or a repost and press the comment button beside it, with replies, likes and deleting your own.
Manage Server has a Members tab listing everyone with the groups they hold, and Member Settings in the server menu now opens it.
A reply under a finished agent task now gets an answer saying the task is over and how to open a new one, instead of disappearing.
Five minutes after an agent finishes a task, its most obvious suggested next task starts by itself, unless the pull request it follows is still open or part of the work was left undone. The card counts down and anyone in the channel can press Cancel; a reply saying no works too.
Suggested next tasks, screenshots on the card, the schedule card and the lineage of a follow-up now show on iOS the same way they do on the desktop.
Adding a model to the agent driver is a pick from a list now. The dialog asks Codex and Claude Code which models and effort levels they accept, so a model id no longer has to be typed from memory. Typing one stays possible for a model the engine has not listed yet.
On Linux, mssgs can now open at login. The Startup settings write a standard autostart entry that keeps working after an update, and a startup entry you made yourself is left alone.
A finished agent task now ends with suggested next tasks on its card, each with a button to hand it to any agent in the channel or a particular one, without writing the request yourself. Opening them as tasks straight away remains a setting.
Agents now finish visual work by showing it. A screenshot of the result is posted on the task card alongside the written report, so you can see what changed instead of reading a description of it.
The web app can be added to your phone's home screen. It gets the mssgs icon, opens full screen without the browser's address bar, and starts on its own launch screen.
The web app now works properly on a phone. The server list and channels slide in as a drawer over the conversation, the conversation itself fills the screen, and you move between them with the back arrow, a swipe from the left edge, or the back gesture on your phone.
Holding a message on a phone opens the same menu a right-click does on the desktop, including replying, forwarding, copying and reacting.
The message box on a phone keeps its attachment, GIF, voice and camera buttons behind a plus button, so there is room to see what you are typing.
Settings, profiles and message search fill the screen on a phone instead of being squeezed into a small card.
A Steer button on an agent task card. Replying to a card has always redirected the work an agent is doing, but that was only reachable by hovering the card; the button says so plainly and puts the card in your reply box in one press.
A working agent now shows what it has done, not only what it is doing. Its card keeps a short trail of recent steps, the files it read, the searches it ran, the commands it tried, with the current one at the bottom, so it is clear what is happening rather than a single line that keeps changing.
Every agent task card has a Full conversation button that opens the whole exchange, live while it works: who spoke and when, the agent’s answers formatted as written, the tools it ran and the steers it was given. Conversations are kept for 24 hours after the last activity.
When an agent opens follow-up work, the summary now shows a live row per task, its colour and status update as agents pick the work up, so it is visible when nobody has.
A task that grew out of earlier work now says so on its card.
Messages can now be forwarded: right-click one, or use the Forward button on its hover bar, and pick any number of channels and direct messages. It arrives exactly as written, pictures and files included, in its own card headed by the word forwarded and the name of whoever wrote it.
A channel’s agents can be given a preferred model, for the whole channel and per project. Tasks that name no model run on the preference; naming one in the message still wins, and a machine that cannot run it picks its own and says so on the card.

Bug Fixes

The games introduction now appears after you pick a theme on first launch, instead of being skipped.
The Battleship lobby only mentions your DM when an invite was actually sent there.
Finnish game names now match the iPhone app.
Searching for communities no longer fails with an error after a few quick searches.
Tip jar cards are more compact, without the large jar picture.
A story that has expired now shows a clear Story Expired card in Activity instead of a broken image.
Loading spinners now pause while the app window is not in front, so a bot card that is still working no longer keeps your computer busy.
A tooltip left on screen no longer keeps the app using processor time in the background.
Sending credits from an account that is too new or not in good standing now explains why the gift was refused instead of asking you to try again.
A long session no longer pauses briefly every second or so: the debug log used to rewrite its whole history on every write once it was full.
Channels you have visited no longer keep waking the app every second to check whether somebody is typing; the check runs only while somebody is.
The conversation list no longer refreshes every row every second while a community is on screen in front of it.
The app no longer gets slower the longer it stays open: picture placeholders and waiting cards that have scrolled out of sight stop animating instead of piling up in every channel you visit.
Opening the map once no longer makes the rest of the session heavier, as the closed map stops following every movement of the mouse.
The expiring streak icon in the message list pulses a few times and then holds still.
The app now uses far less power while you are not touching it, which should show up as a quieter fan and longer battery life on a laptop.
Nameplates, avatar frames and story rings no longer pulse, so a window full of people sits still instead of shimmering.
The list of who watched your story now says it is showing friends only, so a view count higher than the number of names reads as expected rather than as a mistake.
Several pictures in one message are now shown whole and larger, each in its own shape, instead of being cropped into squares you had to open to recognise.
A Mac set up with Migration Assistant no longer signs you out, recovering your saved login from the keychain that was carried over.
Avatar decorations now sit snugly around profile photos.
The Edit button on a clip now tells you when the editor could not be opened, instead of doing nothing.
The direct message request window now shows both people as they look today, instead of an older picture one of you had replaced.
A voice call no longer goes silent after you browse through many other channels, and reloading the app rejoins the call instead of hanging up.
Reporting a story after the viewer has moved on to the next person now reports the right poster, and their name and profile link are correct too.
The File Drop offer list and a link in the Premium window are now readable in light mode.
Opening a channel with many deleted messages, including photo conversations, is faster, and deleted photos no longer linger in the photo grid.
Long posts in an announcement channel are shown in full straight away, instead of stopping part-way with a button to read the rest.
The “Drop files to upload” screen now goes away after every drop, including drops into File Drop, and can be closed with Escape.
A clip opened from a profile now plays in front of it instead of behind it, and closing the clip takes you back to the profile.
Exporting or downloading a clip that was made on another device now gives you the clip you have been editing, instead of quietly doing nothing.
Pressing a caption in the clip editor now pauses the clip on the moment that caption belongs to, and a caption being moved stays on the picture, dimmed, while it is outside its moment.
The panel that shows a clip being made no longer flickers while it works, so its progress bar can be read and its Cancel button can be pressed.
When something goes wrong with a clip, mssgs now says what happened in plain words, including how to let it record the screen the first time.
Changing a server icon now shows the new picture in the sidebar right away, every time you change it, instead of keeping the old one until the app was restarted.
The wallet card no longer announces a gift before it knows who sent it.
Owner menus, story navigation and the DM picker now follow the same order throughout the app.
Credits you receive now say where they came from: who gifted them, whether it was on your post or in a channel, and the message they sent with it. Coin drops, badge rewards and top-ups name themselves too.
A gift now reaches you the moment it is sent, instead of appearing as a "Just received" card much later with no explanation.
The credits card no longer appears when your balance has not actually gone up.
Storyteller counts public stories again. It had been counting posts on a feed that nothing has written to since August 2025, so it could not be earned at all.
Story Streak is now called Feed Streak, which is what it has always measured.
Scrolling up in a conversation now continues from the message at the top of the screen, instead of sometimes jumping back a day or more and leaving everything in between missing.
An AI assistant connected through the local MCP server no longer does everything twice after the server was switched off and on again, which turned one message into two identical ones.
A server that can only be joined by invitation now says so on the join button rather than letting the button fail, and the message reads correctly in light mode.
A link that opens the app now arrives even when the app was still starting up.
Opening a game connection link a second time now says you are already connected, instead of reporting the code as dead.
Founder can finally be earned. It looked for server ownership in a place that never held it, so it had never once been awarded; it now counts the servers you own.
Announcement channels can now be picked wherever an automation writes, the MCP channel exposure, webhooks and agent channels, instead of being filtered out of every list. Posting rights are unchanged: the server still only lets the owner and the channel's posting groups publish there.
A reported photo or video now appears in the moderation queue instead of a grey file card, so moderators can see what they are voting on.
Spending or giving away credits no longer pops up a card announcing it; receiving credits and unlocking Premium still say so.
A locked wallet now says so plainly, and a wallet that is still settling reads as busy rather than as an error.
The credits card has a single sheen across the whole card instead of a band that ended in a visible seam.
Returning to a community channel after reading your direct messages no longer reloads the conversation from scratch.
Channels no longer load older messages on their own while you are sitting at the bottom of the conversation.
A channel showing unread dots but no messages now repairs itself without needing you to click into the window first.
The credits history is easier to read: roomier rows, the date on every entry, and a gift note that no longer crowds the amount.
The file drop window no longer flickers while a transfer is in progress.
Removing a two-factor method now asks you to confirm it is you first, with your password, an authenticator code, a backup code, a texted code or a passkey. It used to fail without saying why.
A conversation full of one-time photos now keeps its history when those photos expire, instead of opening almost empty with the rest of the chat out of reach.
Ordinary messages are no longer removed from a conversation alongside expiring one-time photos.
Joining a call no longer freezes the app when your Mac is slow to hand over the microphone, which could happen while the screen was locked and left force quit as the only way out.
The push-to-talk key works again while another app is in front.
A key combination such as Alt and M can now be recorded as a push-to-talk key, instead of only the modifier being picked up.
An incoming call shows the caller's current picture from the ring itself, and initials when they have none, instead of an old upload.
A group granted to a member now takes effect for them right away, and still after a reload, instead of the app answering "no permission" from an old copy of their record.
A reaction on a message in a channel where you cannot react still shows who reacted, and pressing it says why it cannot be added.
Ticking a profile on the Agents engine page no longer scrolls the page back to the top.
A group name shorter than three characters is refused with a message saying so, instead of a generic failure.
An explicit "do not" in a task request now outranks the channel and project instructions, so an agent no longer pushes or opens a pull request you told it not to.
Stopping an agent task now leaves the card marked as stopped after a reload instead of still showing it as working.
The Codex engine can commit again, including inside git worktrees and submodules, so tasks that need a branch no longer stop without changes.
The model an agent runs on appears on its card from the first second rather than a few seconds in.
Agent task cards share the same grey surface as the schedule cards beside them. State and role are shown by the border and the pills instead of a green wash.
A follow-up an agent could not start itself is no longer a dead notice. It appears with the reason and a button that starts it.
Settings in the web app no longer offers Game Activity or the game overlay. Both are about the computer the app is installed on, so their switches could never do anything in a browser.
A task with no pull request no longer shows a View pull request button that does nothing.
The activity dot on an agent card sits on the line it points at instead of below it.
The web app no longer fails to load its icon in the browser tab.
A file attachment with a long name no longer stretches a message past the edge of a narrow conversation.
Steer and Stop no longer stay on a card that finished while you were looking at it.
Opening a channel while an agent is working now shows what it is doing. The card was blank until the agent next changed what it said, which during a long step could be minutes.
A merged pull request no longer adds a second card to the channel. The outcome is now written onto the card of the task that opened it, which previously stayed at "pull request open" for ever.
An agent watching a pull request only posts a card when it has something to report, a failing build, a fix, a review. A pull request that passes and merges cleanly is now silent.
Connecting an AI client to the local MCP server without a token now explains exactly how to authenticate, instead of failing with a confusing OAuth error.
The project name field no longer rewrites what you type: capitals and other characters stay on screen, and the lowercase chat tag they produce is shown underneath, while a project’s folders keep their capitalization.
Deleted groups no longer appear when you right-click a member and open Groups. They used to stay in the list looking exactly like a live group, and assigning one silently did nothing.
Assigning a group to a member now says so when it cannot be done, instead of leaving you to wonder whether the click registered.
Deleting or restoring a group takes effect everywhere immediately, including the member list, name colours and the channel pickers.

Changes

Throwing a reaction over the chat and freezing your shared location are now Premium features; the buttons are only shown to Premium members. Thrown reactions stay visible to everyone.

v3.1.0 iOS 8 syys 2026

New Features

Credits and Premium: buy credit packs in the app, get Premium with credits, and gift credits to anyone from a profile, a story comment, a voice room or a stream. Coin drops let a channel share credits, and Settings has a Credits tab with your balance, history and a What you get page for Premium.
Achievement badges: 22 coins with names and descriptions, shown on your profile and under Settings, with a reveal the moment you unlock one.
Clip editor: captions that follow the audio word by word, a text category, music and sounds of your own, crop a clip and see what you are cutting away, bring in a video from your phone, export the whole film for TikTok, YouTube or a chat, and file clips into albums. Clips has its own button on the bottom bar.
Listening sessions: record or import sounds of your own, cut them, edit them in place and layer them into a track in the studio, then add them to the session.
Events and reminders: plan an event in a channel with a list of who is coming, set reminders that repeat and warn early, and import your calendar into the agenda.
Calls: a Calls tab, a ringtone per caller, a call that asks first and opens beside the chat, and screen sharing sized for the phone with its own volume slider.
Search by kind of message: photos, videos, GIFs, links, files and attachments, and browse a kind before you have typed anything.
Chats: archive finished chats behind Face ID or a passcode, group communities into folders, post in announcement channels that broadcast to other servers, and swap the picture on a message you already sent.
File Drop: send files to people on the same network, straight from the app.
Photos and videos: photos sent one after another arrive as one album, print a photo or PDF from the viewer, four new camera looks (Sunset, Frost, Fade and Noir), cinematic focus, and journey and moment stickers that say where you set off, where you are going and what the weather is.
Memories: filter by colour and date, a smoother swipe through the gallery, and an edited memory can be kept as a new one.
News now shows live news from NOS, Jeugdjournaal and Tweakers, and Settings can be searched by name.
Sign-in: passkeys and backup codes as second factors, and sign in on the desktop app or the website by scanning its code with your phone.
Map: open the map on the person you follow, a card when someone you follow turns up in another city, a friend’s place as a location shortcut, and hand a dropped pin to a maps app.
Communities: premium-only groups, member invite and posting permissions, VPN and IP bans, a redesigned server settings screen, and user groups that show who is in them.
Profiles and members: one Posts and Clips switch, everything you can do with a person under a single menu, badge tiles, and member cards in the panel with a first-time hint.
Stories: unsubscribe from one poster’s story notifications, and a public story of your own can be posted from the story menu.
Invite & Win shows who joined from your link as it happens, and turns the invite into a story card.
The app now speaks Danish and Swedish.

Bug Fixes

Messages that arrived while you were away are already there when you open the chat, and a chat opens in a fraction of the time.
A channel you never opened keeps its unread dot, and a role change shows on screen right away.
A recorded video can no longer be lost: every recording is kept until it has been sent or saved, and a video that failed to send is not retried forever.
Poor connections: previews load first, uploads are sized to fit the route, and the app no longer waits a minute to notice a dead connection.
The dual camera no longer crashes when it is switched off or left, and tap to focus works on it.
The message bar no longer comes up squashed over the keyboard.
A feed that cannot be fetched says so instead of showing an empty feed, and your own public story no longer comes back to you on the feed.
The last stock iOS alerts in ringtone groups, the memory game and the tools have become the app’s own dialogs.

v14.5.20030 – v14.5.20051 19 Työpöytä 31 elo 2026

Bug Fixes

Messages could be missing from a channel you were looking at, and were marked as read without ever appearing. The channel now notices when it has fallen behind and fetches what it missed, instead of clearing the unread mark for a message it never showed you.
A project tag can now contain a dash, so a project can be named after the folder it points at. Typing one used to remove it again immediately, which made names like mssgs-electron impossible to enter.
Replying to an agent to ask it to stop now reaches it as a request to stop. The reply was previously passed on wrapped in an instruction to carry on, so agents kept working after being asked not to, and they are now also told what to report when they do stop.
Pictures sent one after another stay separate messages again, each with its own sender, time and picture, instead of being folded into the message above them.
The list of agents you can add to a channel is now read again every time it opens, so an agent that has just offered to serve the channel appears without closing and reopening the whole screen.
Switching account no longer leaves this computer registered as an agent under the account you left. It now gives that identity up, and the Agents settings explain that each account registers as its own agent, so a channel manager can add the new one.
A newly created account no longer opens showing the communities of the account that was signed in before it. Signing in as someone else now clears what belonged to the previous account, whichever way you sign in.
A long report from an agent can now be read in full. Its card showed only the beginning and stopped mid-sentence, with nothing to say there was more; it now offers Show more, like every other card.
A newly created server no longer keeps showing the conversation from the server you came from. Until its first channel exists, that side of the window says so and offers to create one.
A server opens on its first channel as soon as it has one, and never drops you into a voice channel you did not pick.
An email verification code that is not accepted now tells you so and asks you to enter the address again, instead of failing with an unexpected error.
Messages from other people no longer wait for you to click on the window. A channel could lose its live connection while you were reading a direct message or another server, and only caught up when the app regained focus.
An agent no longer hands back work it was actually asked for. It now fixes the same fault wherever else it appears, and anything its change leaves half-finished, rather than listing them as suggestions.
Work that nobody is waiting for now tells the channel when it fails. Previously only scheduled runs did, so anything else unattended could fail unnoticed.
Two computers signed in to the same account are now properly two separate agents. Machines that shared a name used to register as one agent and quietly run every task twice; each computer is now told apart by its own identity.
If two computers do end up sharing an agent identity, the Agent settings now say so plainly and explain how to separate them.
Names in the member list are no longer cut short next to bot and agent accounts. The two labels are now compact icons, so the name keeps the room it needs, and hovering an icon still says what it means.
The agent icon is now readable in light mode, where its green was previously almost invisible against the background.
Attaching files, posting GIFs, sending voice memos and adding reactions work again on servers whose roles were set up before those permissions existed.
The attachment button no longer stays greyed out on a server the app has not finished loading.
An incoming call now shows the caller’s current picture and the name you gave them, instead of an old picture and their real name.
Joining a call from a second device no longer disconnects the first.
Leaving a voice channel now updates for everybody immediately instead of several seconds later.
A watch party that has ended no longer claims to still be live when you scroll back to it.
Search now files a photo with stickers on it as a photo and a voice memo as audio, so filtering by kind returns what you would expect.
Scrolling to the end of a dialog no longer scrolls the conversation behind it.
A dialog with three buttons now wraps them instead of pushing one off the edge of a small window.
Opening a direct message is faster, as the app no longer re-downloads a week of deletion records every time.
The list of friends you invited now shows each person’s picture, or their initials when they have not set one, instead of a broken image.

New Features

A task card now has a Stop button, shown to the person who asked for the task and to nobody else. Pressing it stops the agent, and any work it had handed to other agents stops with it.
Creating an account is now protected against automated sign-ups without a captcha. If it is not clear that the address was typed by a person, you are asked one short question before continuing.
You can now name the model an agent should use for a task, by writing it after the project tag: [core@opus-max]. Leave it out and the agent picks, as before.
A task card now says which model is doing the work, next to the project it runs under. If the machine that takes the task cannot run the model you named, it says so rather than quietly using something else.
An agent that notices other work while doing a task can now open it as a task itself, instead of leaving a list for someone to send. It is bounded: that new task cannot open more of its own, one task can open at most five, and the channel's limit on work running at once is unchanged.
The channel is told what was opened, and told about anything that was not, with the reason, so a finding is never lost between an agent noticing it and someone hearing about it.
Agent settings now let you choose what happens to that work: open it, suggest it for you to send, or never ask.
An agent now reads the message it was asked in, not just the words of the request. When you reply to something and ask an agent to look at it, it sees what you replied to.
Files attached to a request now reach the agent. Screenshots, logs, patches and documents are downloaded for it to open, small text files are read straight away, and anything too large is named with a link so it can fetch it if it needs to.
An agent can now see the conversation around the request, so it understands what was already being discussed.
A reply to a running task carries its attachments and whatever it quotes, the same way the original request does.
The live line on a task card now says what the agent is actually doing, naming the file it is reading or the command it is running instead of only the kind of step.
Setting up the AI agents in a channel now opens its own window, with separate pages for the agents themselves, the instructions they are always given, who gets notified, the projects they work on and the schedules they run.
Adding a project now starts by choosing a folder on your computer, and the project is named after it. A folder that only exists on one computer is marked as such, so agents on other machines are not pointed at it.
A project now shows one row per agent with what it may do there, instead of three separate lists of the same names, and says so when nobody is allowed to deploy it.
Agents can now be set up while they are switched off, so a channel no longer has to go live before it can be configured.
Making this computer available as an agent now has its own place in Settings, with separate pages for its name, how supervised it is, the tools it runs work with, the channels it serves and what it has been doing.
Choosing which channels an agent serves now shows your servers and their categories, with a search box and a one-press way to take a whole server, instead of one long alphabetical list.
Settings now shows a green dot next to MCP and Agent when each one is running, so you can see at a glance whether this computer is reachable and taking work.
Server settings now have an Audit log, so managers can read what has been changed on their server, filter it by kind of change and search it.
Starting a call now asks you to confirm first, so a mis-click no longer rings somebody.
A watch party that has finished now shows how long it ran, how many people watched at its busiest, and every clip it produced.
Videos now show their own preview picture straight away, painted in the clip’s own colours while it loads instead of a dark rectangle.
When search filters hide every result, one press brings back everything that matched.
The Invite & Win tab now says what you can win, when entries close and who runs the campaign, with a link through to the full rules.

v14.4.20021 – v14.4.20029 8 Työpöytä 29 elo 2026

New Features

Search can now be filtered by the kind of message, so you can narrow results to photos, videos, GIFs, links, invites, bot messages and more, and pick several kinds at once.
Every search result now shows what kind of message it is, so a photo, a card and a link preview are told apart at a glance.
Picking a GIF while editing a message now replaces the picture on that message instead of posting a new one.
Attaching a file while editing a message now asks whether it should replace what is already there or be added to it.
The export preview now plays the clip, so you can see how the frame you picked actually looks in motion before saving it.
Saving a clip is now called Download file, which is what it does.
Server icons can now be grouped into folders: drop one icon onto another to make a folder, click it to open and close it, and right-click it to rename or remove it.
Folders follow your account across devices, and a folder shows one badge for everything waiting inside it while it is closed.
Server settings gain a VPN Forbidden switch, which refuses people joining over a VPN, proxy or Tor connection.
Banning someone can now also block the address they last joined from, and the bans list marks the bans that do.
A message you send without a connection, or while it is still coming back, is now kept and delivered by itself once you are back online, instead of failing.
A message waiting to be sent survives closing and reopening the app, and is shown in the conversation as waiting rather than disappearing.
A channel can now have AI agents in it as participants. Mention one with a task and it works on it there, posting what it is doing as it goes and the result when it is done.
Channel settings has an Agents tab, where a manager chooses which agents work in the channel and writes the house rules every one of them follows, so nobody has to explain how this project is tested or deployed again.
A project defines the directories its work may touch, and every agent is held to that list whichever one picks the task up.
A request that does not name a project is conversation only: the agent will talk it through and ask which project it belongs to, and cannot read, change or run anything.
Replying to an agent’s message steers it. Corrections and new information reach the session that is already working, and you are told whether they land straight away or at the end of its current step.
Work ends in a pull request, and a different agent watches that pull request through its checks and review comments. It is never the agent that wrote the code.
Agents are marked in the member list and on their messages, in the channels where they are working, so it is always clear who is a person and who is not.
Settings has a Usable Agent panel that turns your own computer into one of those agents, using the AI tools you already have installed, for the channels you choose.
Your Mac’s AirPods can now mute and unmute you in a call, and the app follows the button rather than fighting it.
A screen you are sharing has its own volume, and everything you can do to somebody in a voice channel is now one right-click away.

Bug Fixes

An edit that fails now says so and gives you your text back instead of losing it.
Avatars in the search filters are the same rounded square used everywhere else in the app.
Dialogs, settings, profiles and the emoji and GIF pickers now scroll when the window is small, so their buttons and tabs stay reachable instead of running off the edge.
Upright exports no longer sit between two black bars: the space above and below the picture is filled with a blurred, tinted version of the clip itself, so a dark clip still looks deliberate instead of looking like a failed upload.
The export preview now shows the same surround the saved file has, in both light and dark mode.
Exporting from the clip editor no longer re-renders the clip first when nothing has been changed, so it finishes in half the time and no longer replaces the clip already posted in the channel.
Dragging a server icon to the very top or bottom of the list now works, and a line shows exactly where the icon will land before you let go.
Joining a watch party during a livestream now starts you at the same moment as everyone else, even when the party is watching from earlier in the broadcast.
Disappearing messages now leave nothing behind once they have been seen, instead of a row reading "deleted" where each one used to be.
Returning a watch party to live during a livestream now reliably reaches live, instead of leaving everyone watching up to half a minute late with no way back.
People watching a livestream party from a point earlier in the broadcast are no longer dropped out of the party and told their connection could not keep up.
A livestream picture no longer jumps every few seconds while the party watches from earlier in the broadcast.
A watch party no longer claims you are watching in sync with the host during a livestream when it cannot tell where they are watching.
Sending, opening a chat or starting a call no longer pauses for half a minute when there is no connection, and says plainly that the connection is the reason.
Uploads and other requests can no longer hang indefinitely on a connection that stops responding.
The app no longer opens a growing number of connection attempts while the service is unreachable, so it recovers faster once it returns.
Reopening the app no longer causes the first few actions to be rejected.

v14.3.20016 – v14.3.20020 4 Työpöytä 24 elo 2026

New Features

Exporting a clip for TikTok or Snapchat now keeps the whole screen instead of cutting the sides off, and filling the frame is still one press away for the clips that suit it.
The clip editor and the export picker both show the frame the file will be, with that platform’s own buttons drawn over it, so you can see how a clip will land before you post it.
The mssgs mark now goes to the corner the destination leaves alone, instead of ending up behind a like button.
A voice channel can show who is in it, from a People button in its header, and the chat keeps the width you gave it when the list opens.
A strip in the corner now shows every clip being saved, exported or posted, with how far along it is and a button to stop it, and, once it is done, where it went, with the button that finishes the job.
The clip editor’s sound library has grown from eight sounds to more than thirty, grouped by what they are for, with a search box and a button to hear one before you place it.
You can now watch a clip in the Add clip list before you put it on the timeline, and adding it straight away still works the way it did.
Adding a clip now fits the timeline to the edit, so two pieces divide the bar between them in proportion to their lengths.
mssgs now opens by itself when you sign in to your computer, so it is already running after a restart instead of waiting to be started.
Settings now has a Startup tab, where you can turn that off again or have mssgs start in the background, without a window, and open it from the Dock when you want it.
A call now says which speakers you are hearing it on, and lets you switch speakers or microphone from the call itself.
While you are in a call but reading another channel, the faces of whoever is speaking rise from behind the call controls.
The people in a voice channel light up green in the channel list as they talk, so you can see who is speaking without opening the channel.
Every button in a call now explains itself with the app’s own labels instead of the operating system tooltip.
Games on your computer can now connect to mssgs and show what you are playing, with a Join now button others can press to join you.
Every game asks permission first, and you choose exactly what it may see before anything is shared.
A game can check whether you are in one specific community without ever seeing the rest of the communities you are in.
Selecting what somebody is playing opens the details, with how far along they are, who is in the party and a button to join them.
A new Game Activity settings page lists every game you allowed, what each one may see, when it was last active, and lets you remove it at any time.

Bug Fixes

Re-opening a clip you have already shortened now opens on the clip itself, instead of handing back the whole original recording with the trim to make all over again.
Editing a clip you opened from a channel and pressing Save and post now puts it in that channel instead of quietly failing.
Cancelling work on a clip now stops it properly and leaves the clip exactly as it was, instead of deleting it.
Captions keep their size, their place and their line breaks in every shape a clip is exported in, instead of being re-wrapped into a wall of text you only saw after downloading it.
Trimming the end of a clip while it is playing now carries on from where you were watching, instead of starting the clip over.
Trimming the beginning of a clip past the point you were watching now opens at the start of the new clip.
A caption you are typing on the picture stays put when the video plays past the moment it belongs to, so you can finish the sentence.
An export that you did not save anywhere is now offered again rather than disappearing.
The reaction strip on the floating player no longer appears when you reach for the edge to resize it, or when the pointer is over the bottom of the picture.
The window no longer reopens on a screen that is no longer connected, which used to leave it invisible after unplugging a monitor.
Noise suppression now silences your keyboard completely, so other people no longer hear you typing or see you light up as speaking.
The speakers a call chooses automatically are now the ones your computer is actually using, instead of whichever device happened to be listed first.
Avatars in a call are square again, matching every other picture in the app.
The header of a direct message now shows when the other person starts or stops playing, and keeps up as it changes.

v14.2.20010 – v14.2.20015 4 Työpöytä 22 elo 2026

New Features

Choosing a channel for an automatic reply now opens a proper picker you can search, grouped by server, instead of one long dropdown.
A rule can check who sent the message, and answer moderators, staff, the server owner, bots or one named person differently from everyone else.
A condition can now say what to reply when it does not hold, instead of stopping without a word.
A rule can be marked to run only when no other rule matched, so the bot can say it did not understand without answering messages another rule already handled.
Automatic replies are built from action cards you drag into place: pick one from the palette, drop it where it should run, and drag it up or down to change the order.
Every step of a reply is a card you can open, collapse, duplicate, or switch off without deleting it, with a line telling you what it does at a glance.
A reply can now post a proper bot card with a title, a body and buttons people can press, and the buttons reorder by dragging too.
A card being built is shown exactly as the channel will show it, updating as you type.
The workflow can be reordered from the keyboard: focus a card’s handle and use the arrow keys.
The clock on a live watch party counts up from the start of the broadcast, so the time on screen is one you can write in the chat and press.
Hovering the timeline of a watch party shows the time at that point, without moving anyone’s picture.
A game overlay can now show your call on top of whatever you are playing: everyone who is in it, a ring around whoever is talking, and their names for a few seconds whenever somebody joins or leaves.
The overlay can also show the latest chat down one side of your game, with each message fading away on its own. A key turns it on and off without leaving the game.
Everything about the overlay is yours to set: when it appears, which screen and corner it uses, its size and how solid it looks, how long names and messages stay, which messages it shows, and both of its keys.
A call now says how it is doing, even while you are alone or muted. A signal reading sits beside the channel name, and opening it shows your ping and packet loss over the last two minutes, along with jitter, bandwidth and the codec in use.
A call that is breaking up now points at the person it is breaking up for, and says plainly when it is reconnecting.
Noise suppression is visible while it works: the level your microphone hears is drawn against the level that actually leaves your computer, so you can see the keyboard being removed and your voice surviving.
The call controls now carry a noise suppression button that is lit while it is on, and names the mode it is using.
Before you join a voice channel, it now says how your microphone is set up, voice activity or push to talk with its key, and which noise suppression is on, and each of those is the way to change it.
You can now choose which microphone you are heard through and which speakers you hear a call on, with a test for each. Automatic follows whatever you plugged in most recently, and says which device that currently is.
Call volume and microphone volume are now yours to set, inside mssgs only: your microphone can be boosted past its normal level for a quiet headset, without changing anything for the rest of your computer.

Bug Fixes

Typing in an automatic reply no longer rebuilds the whole panel and moves the cursor out from under you.
Labels, fields and buttons throughout automatic replies line up and match the rest of Settings.
Bot cards no longer break ordinary words in half when the card is narrow.
Green labels and buttons in the settings screens are readable again in light mode.
A moment shared during a live broadcast now opens at the right second when the recording is watched later.
A time with three digits of hours, copied from a broadcast that has been running for weeks, now works as a single jump button instead of pointing at another moment.
The reactions row in a watch party appears when you move over the video, rather than when you reach for the controls underneath it.
The button that takes you back to the party is an icon again, so its label can no longer run across the volume slider beside it.
Opening a watch party in its own window no longer reports that the video cannot be played there.
Push to talk with no key chosen now says so and offers to fix it, instead of leaving a microphone that never opens.
A voice channel now always shows who is really standing in it. The channel list and the channel itself could disagree, one saying you were in there, the other still showing people who had left.
Joining a call on push to talk no longer sends a moment of your room before the key is held.
After a call reconnects, your push-to-talk setting, noise suppression and microphone volume come back with it instead of being replaced by a plain open microphone.
A microphone that cannot be opened when you unmute now says so, instead of leaving the button looking unmuted while nobody can hear you.
Sound in a call now recovers by itself after the computer wakes from sleep.

v2.1.1 iOS 21 elo 2026

New Features

Watch parties: watch YouTube together in a channel with playback kept in sync, a floating player you can carry through the app, a scrub bar, reactions, and a picture you can size by hand.
Clips: record a moment from a watch party, keep it, edit it on your phone, and share it in a chat. Hold a clip for everything you can do with it, and re-cutting one offers to replace the one you already sent.
Listening sessions: the songs shared in a channel become a queue everyone can play, started from the attachment sheet or the DM header, and the music follows you out of the channel.
Emotes: throw stickers and emoji into a chat or DM, with a fast bar of the ones you actually use.
Search inside a chat and across a whole community: several words at once, filters by who wrote it and by day or period, and results you read in place.
Calls, redesigned: a call folds into a bar you can carry anywhere, opens full screen or as a picture-in-picture window, and gives every person their own volume slider. Reactions in calls, screen sharing you can see on the phone, calling straight from a profile, and a missed call leaves a note in the conversation.
Tools: a Translator for typed or spoken text with downloadable language packs, Facts, News, an agenda, and alarms with sounds you record yourself and a Live Activity while they ring.
Memories: pinch to choose how many fit on screen, a month rail to travel by, cut stickers out of a memory, pick a pile of memories at once, and a guided setup for importing your Snapchat memories. The memories lock belongs to your account.
Private stories: pick who sees a story, manage the members, post into a private story and show it on your feed. Stories can be posted later, and you can see who watched your photos and videos.
Notifications: ringtone groups, a tone you record yourself, a sound per chat, a separate tone for mentions, and a choice of how long a notification may wait.
Send to, your way: rearrange the destination bars, keep setups, and pin communities, chats and tools as your own buttons on the bottom bar.
Chats: pin chats in the order you choose, keep a community at the top or bottom of the strip, GIF stickers on your own avatar with a time limit, and a camera that reads QR codes.
Communities: create channels one question at a time and several at once, give many channels the same roles in one go, and a moderator report queue with voting.
Parent Center and Reports: a place for parents and children to link accounts, and report buttons on messages, profiles and servers.
Accessibility: five switches instead of one mode, and screen descriptions that explain a screen the first time you open it.
Sign-in and account: two-factor sign-in with a backup number, delete your account with an emailed code, universal links that open invites in the app, and switching between accounts on one phone.
Map: satellite and traffic layers, freeze a friend at a place you already use, and unfreeze everyone with one button.
Photostrips: more papers and rooms, favourites, and a print you open full screen.
The app now speaks Ukrainian.

Bug Fixes

A message you just sent no longer appears twice, and scrolling a chat no longer jumps back when older messages load.
A DM you never opened stays unread when you switch servers, and a folded category admits it is hiding unread channels.
Typing a long message is no longer slow, and the app no longer freezes for a second when it comes to the foreground.
The share screen can no longer get stuck with a keyboard on it, and swiping back out of a settings screen works.
Every confirm in the app is a glass dialog instead of a stock iOS alert.
Deleting a feed post lands on the post below it, and Can’t reach mssgs no longer sits there forever on working Wi-Fi.

v14.1.20002 – v14.1.20005 3 Työpöytä 20 elo 2026

Bug Fixes

When the host of a watch party pauses, the picture only stops for the people who are watching that same moment, anyone who went back to watch something else carries on.
Play now works in a paused watch party: it starts the video for you alone, and says so, instead of reporting that you paused it.
The host moving the video no longer drags along someone who has gone back to watch an earlier moment.
A watch party no longer says it is waiting for someone whose picture is buffering on a moment of their own.
When the video finishes, everyone can watch it again from the start, not only the host.
A watch party built on a shared screen now ends when the sharing stops, instead of leaving everyone watching a black screen.
When the host jumps to another moment, everyone watching with them follows straight away instead of a few seconds later.
A connection that cannot keep up now lands on the moment the host jumped to and offers the way back, instead of quietly drifting while the bar claims you are in sync.
Making a clip shorter now replaces the one already in the channel instead of leaving the longer version beside it.
Pausing, scrubbing or going back as a guest in a watch party no longer moves the picture for the host or for anyone else watching.
The person whose watch party it is is never told they are behind it, and is no longer offered a way to catch up with themselves.
A watch party now plays from where its host is watching, instead of from wherever the last person to press something left it.
Playing, pausing or going back in the party’s own window now follows the same rule as the main window, so a guest watching there no longer stops the film for the room.
The label saying how far behind the party you are watching is no longer recorded into your clips.
A YouTube watch party now plays inside the app again, instead of saying the video cannot be played here and sending you out to YouTube.
In a live watch party everyone now watches from where the host put the room, instead of each person jumping to the live broadcast on their own.
The timeline of a live broadcast can be dragged to move the whole room, the same way a video’s can, and that is what someone with control now gets by default.
A picture that lost its place in a party finds its way back when the room moves somewhere else, instead of staying stuck where it was.

New Features

A clip can now be exported for TikTok, a Snapchat story or YouTube, each in the size that app plays full screen instead of as a small strip in the middle.
Every clip carries the mssgs mark burned into the picture, so it is still there after the clip is downloaded, edited elsewhere or reposted.
Holding a clip anywhere it appears, in a channel, on your profile, in the clip list, in the end-of-party recap, opens everything you can do with it.
Any clip you own can be edited and exported again, including one made on your phone or one this Mac no longer keeps a copy of, it is fetched back from your account first.
A watch party now says at a glance that you are watching exactly what the host is watching, or that the host has left. The moment you are not, a button offers the way back and says how far behind you are.

v14.0.28 – v14.0.38 10 Työpöytä 18 elo 2026

New Features

Hold a key to talk: your microphone only sends while you hold it, stops the moment you let go, and the key does not type into the message box.
A new Voice section in settings shows when your microphone is actually sending and what it lets through, with a test you can hear yourself on.
Your microphone can now filter out the room around you, so a fan or a keyboard does not travel with your voice.
A screen you share in a call can be reacted to the same way a watch party can.
A shared screen in a call can be clipped, and the call itself can be moved around the window.
Choose how good a screen you share looks, and have it shared the same way the next time.
The line between a call and the chat beside it can be dragged, and the call bar folds to fit what is left.
The member list now says who is in a call.
Mentioning someone now works in a voice channel’s chat.
AI tools connected through the local integration can now use voice channels, apply permission groups to people, create and revoke invites, and read or change your mutes, friends, clips, stickers, blocks and location sharing.
Settings has a new Appearance section, with the theme and two new layout choices together in one place.
The server strip can sit on the right of the window instead of the left.
The server strip can stay hidden and slide back in when you move the pointer to that edge of the window.
Notifications can be told how long they may wait while you are still reading a conversation on this computer.
A shared screen now brings its sound along with the picture.
Creating a channel can now create its category too, and the dialog stays open so a batch of channels keeps the type and the groups you already picked.
Clicking the reply above a message now takes you to the message it answers, even when that message is far back in the conversation.
The member list now shows what somebody is watching, beside what they are playing.
AI tools connected through the local integration can search your messages and run watch parties, and every capability can be switched on at once.
Watch parties: watch a video together in a channel, where everyone can play, pause and scrub by default rather than only the person who started it.
Watch party channels can now be created from the app itself, and the channel shows the faces of everyone currently watching.
A watch party can be given a name when it starts, which is what everyone sees on the card, in the channel and in presence.
The video of a watch party can be popped out into a window of its own, carrying the picture, the controls, who is watching and the reactions, with the conversation left to itself.
The party screen floats over the member list by default, and both where you put it and whether it floats or docks are remembered for the next time.
A watch party can be handed over to another device on the same account without giving up your seat in it.
The space bar plays and pauses a watch party and the arrow keys move ten seconds, with the pointer on the picture and no click needed first; going back moves only you by default, with Back to live to rejoin.
The last minutes of a watch party can be saved as a clip, branded and posted to the channel without the party pausing for it. A clip can be edited as a sequence of pieces: trim it, cut out a part, repeat a moment or join several clips, with sounds and text over the top.
Clips now belong to your account rather than to one computer, with a Clips tab on your profile that shows the ones you made anywhere.
A clip can be renamed, given a share link, or have its sharing stopped again at any time.
Clips open full size in the video viewer, with downloading, copying the link and opening it in a browser.
A sticker can be cut straight out of whatever the party is playing, and kept in a library of your own on this computer with no permission needed.
The sticker library is a third tab beside GIFs in the picker, and takes stickers dragged or imported from files as well.
A time written in a watch-party channel becomes a clickable moment that jumps the video there, and Share this moment posts one that names the video as well as the second. A message’s right-click menu rewinds the video to it.
A moment for a different video offers to switch the party over to it, or to start one if nothing is playing.
A finished watch party ends with a recap of everything you kept from it.
A watch party in the backlog now says what was on, with the title, a still of the source and the site it came from.
Reactions can be thrown over a conversation as stickers or emoji, rising over the messages and disappearing without leaving anything behind.
The reaction bar is now the emotes you actually use, ordered by how often you use them, with the stickers you throw earning a place beside them.
Right-clicking a sticker offers to throw it or to keep it on the reaction bar.
Roles can be assigned to several channels at once from a channel's right-click menu, instead of opening each channel in turn.
A data saver for metered connections: on a phone hotspot or tethered network, playing a clip first says what it will cost and offers to load it when Wi-Fi returns.
A photo filter on the map can now be reported from the map itself, and staff can remove a duplicate outright.
AI assistants connected through the local integration can now propose a photo filter for the map, not only vote on the ones already there.
The channel type is now picked the same described way whether you are creating a channel or editing one, and the descriptions are translated.
Recent chats in the search panel now lead with the conversations you actually use, in the same order as the sidebar.
Every search covers the whole community from one panel: results are grouped per channel with a count for each, can be narrowed to a single channel, and show the conversation around them without taking you out of the one you were reading.
A result’s Open in channel button takes you there with a search bar under the chat header, which highlights matches in the conversation itself and walks you from one hit to the next with the arrows.
Several searches can run side by side, each with its own result count, while the arrows walk the combined set in chronological order.
Search results can be narrowed to a single day or a period, chosen from a calendar sheet that lets you correct either end without starting over.
Search results can be filtered by who wrote them, with a count per person and a removable chip for every name you pick.
Signing in now recognises an address that has no account yet and takes you straight to registration with it filled in, and registering with an address that already has an account offers to sign in to it instead.
The sign-in code is now entered in six separate digit boxes that advance as you type, accept a pasted or autofilled code, and submit on the last digit.
Stickers can now be placed on the avatar of someone you chat with in a direct message, kept per conversation and per person until you remove them.
A new or empty account now lands on a welcome screen with clear next steps: joining or creating a community, or starting a first conversation.
Link previews can now show a large image across the card when the page asks for it, with the space reserved up front so the card no longer jumps while the image loads.
Right-clicking the app icon in the dock now lists your unread conversations and takes you straight to one, alongside Mark All as Read, Direct Messages, Search and Settings.
The app now opens straight into your servers and conversations from what it already has stored, instead of waiting on the connection first.
Photos are prepared before they are sent and conversations show a soft preview of an image while it loads, so chatting stays comfortable on a slow connection.
Managers of a private story can now choose whether its posts also appear on the normal feed; either way, everyone in the story still sees them through the story ring.
A new Parent Center in Settings lets a parent share a connect code, and a child use that code to ask a parent to connect.
A parent link shares nothing until the parent accepts it, and either side can remove the link at any time.
Connected parents can see who their child talks to, how long they are connected each day, and who they share their location with, how far each share reaches and whether it is paused, but never the contents of any message.
Parents are alerted when their child adds a friend, joins a server, or shares their location, including how far each location share reaches.
A new Reports section in Settings shows the reports you sent and how each was handled, along with any reports made about your content.
You can now report a message, a direct message, a story, a server, or a user; a message report can include up to ten surrounding messages, and what you reported is saved so it can still be reviewed even if it is deleted.
You can now block someone from their profile, from a message, or from a direct message, and manage everyone you have blocked in the new Blocked Users tab in Settings.
You can now delete your account from Settings, General, confirmed with a code sent to your email address and entered in six clear boxes that accept pasting and autofill.
You can now draw on a photo before sending it, right from the send preview.
You can now put animated stickers on your own avatar for a limited time; they sit on their own layer above your photo, so each one removes itself when its time is up or can be taken off sooner.
Server invite links now open straight in the app, where you can look the server over and accept or decline before joining.
You can now set a photo as the wallpaper of an individual conversation, and it syncs across your devices.
You can now share a story privately with a chosen group of people, play it straight from its story ring, and leave one; only its managers can see or change who belongs to it, while everyone else sees just the count.
Mentions now render as pills while you type, and :shortcodes: turn into emoji directly in the composer.
Server webhooks can now sign their deliveries with a secret, allow or block images, and show a per-webhook activity log.
Right-clicking an image in the fullscreen viewer now offers to copy the image, copy its address, download it, or open it.
A new App Feedback settings tab lets you read, copy, save, or send the debug log when something goes wrong, and a sent report attaches the full log as a compact file naming the account and screen it came from.
The Memory game is now fully playable from start to finish.

Bug Fixes

Joining a voice channel could leave you in the room but out of the app, with everyone else seeing you arrive while you heard nothing.
A microphone that failed to start now joins you muted and says so, instead of abandoning the call.
Leaving a voice channel now takes you out of that channel’s list of people.
Turning your camera off no longer leaves a black rectangle where your picture belongs.
A shared screen no longer runs seconds behind what is actually happening.
A shared screen now arrives at the size it is really shown at, and keeps up on a weak connection.
Somebody who rejoins and shares their screen again is visible without restarting the app.
Only text that ends in a real domain becomes a link, so ordinary sentences are no longer turned into ones.
A premium badge now appears as soon as somebody comes online, without a restart.
Switching accounts no longer mixes up which servers and conversations belong to which account.
Signing in with an emailed code now finishes at the second-factor step instead of leaving you in a session that could not do anything.
Switching accounts while a session was being refreshed could sign out the account you switched to.
A shared screen no longer blinks every time somebody speaks, and voices no longer break up along with it.
Screen sharing that finds nothing to share now explains why, including when macOS has not granted screen recording, and offers a way straight to that setting.
The emoji, mention, channel and command lists now put their best answer nearest the text you are typing.
Those lists no longer hand their selection to whichever row slid under a resting mouse.
A one-time voice memo you listened to on this computer now disappears as it should.
The two-factor setup screen no longer opens behind the settings screen that opens it.
A card with several pictures now opens as one gallery you can page through.
The fullscreen button did nothing on every video in the app.
Opening a photo showed the previous one at full size until the new one arrived.
A photo that can no longer be loaded now says so instead of leaving a shimmering gap in the conversation.
Clicking an unread conversation that is already open in its own window now raises that window instead of opening it a second time.
A member who is chatting or typing no longer shows as offline in the member list.
Messages about something in the conversation no longer put their notice over the channel list beside it.
Dragging a channel into another category now keeps it where you dropped it instead of jumping back after a reload.
A photo you send no longer jumps to a different size once it is sent, and only ever gains quality from the moment it appears.
Videos sent from the desktop app are now roughly half the size for the same picture.
Stickers and GIFs no longer draw a frame around artwork that has no edge, while photos and video keep theirs.
Cards in a conversation, such as a game invite or a one-view photo, no longer stretch across the full width of the channel.
The dialogs for creating a channel, creating a private group and opening an external link now match the rest of the interface.
The map card on a profile keeps its rounded corners.
The app no longer re-checks conversation requests on every message received.
Changing channels no longer leaves the previous picker behind, which slowly weighed the app down over a session.
The button for starting a new conversation now steps back once you have conversations to read.
The buttons of a dialog stay reachable when the window is small.
Reload is available again in the application menu, so the keyboard shortcut for it works in the released app.
Changing the email address during sign-in no longer leaves you on a spinner with no form underneath.
The incoming conversation request now matches the rest of the interface instead of using the old accent colour.
Joining a server now opens it right away at its general channel, instead of leaving you where you were.
An edited photo now updates in the grid immediately, instead of showing the old version until a refresh.
Strikethrough formatting now requires the double tilde, so a single tilde no longer strikes through text by accident.
Link preview cards no longer show a stray white bar down the side taken from the page theme color.
The light theme has been regenerated so its colors match the current styling again.
A failed upload now explains what actually went wrong, instead of always claiming the file was too large.
Change Password, Delete Account, two-factor removal and Edit Profile Image now use the same styling as the rest of Settings.
Invite cards in chat now show the server icon and name, and open the invite when you click them.
An invite that has reached its limit now says so, instead of suggesting the link is no longer valid.
Saved stories and feed posts now get a proper file name, and saving several images no longer overwrites the previous ones.
A story no longer keeps playing behind the report, share or delete screens.
Images sent by bots and integrations now appear in the message instead of failing to load.
Messages that went missing during a bad connection are now recovered more reliably.
Reporting now tells you when a report could not be sent, instead of always confirming it as submitted.
Story rings in profile popovers now match the presence view exactly and follow the avatar shape.
The Mac App Store version no longer offers its own update check; updates arrive through the App Store.
Story rings no longer linger after a story is gone, light up the moment a new story arrives, and survive a reconnect instead of resetting.
Viewing a photo a story shared into a conversation now counts as viewing that story.
Picker suggestions can no longer swallow your click, people now rank above bots, and an empty search no longer leaves a stray box.
One-view photos no longer burn their single view when the image fails to load; the app retries marking it viewed.
A bot editing a card no longer re-renders the parts it did not touch.
Typing in a conversation you have already read now shows as plain typing again.

v14.0.0 – v14.0.27 24 Työpöytä 31 heinä 2026

Bug Fixes

Edits, removals and disappearing photos that happened while you were offline now apply as soon as you return, even when no new message arrived in the meantime.
A conversation opened in its own window now keeps track of how far behind it is, so it recovers after a disconnect the same way the main window does.
Opening a conversation full of images and cards now lands on the newest message and stays there while the images finish loading, instead of stopping just short of the bottom.
A conversation in the list no longer flashes an out-of-date status for a moment when a message arrives, and sending a message no longer shows it as opened before it shows as sent.
Reconnecting after a brief drop now restores what you missed instantly, instead of reloading everything from scratch, and messages that arrived while you were offline no longer pop up as new alerts when you come back.
A conversation marked as opened now counts from the moment the other person opened your message, instead of showing how long ago you sent it.
Opening a photo someone sent you no longer resets that conversation to "0s ago" in the direct message list; it now keeps showing when the photo actually arrived.
A conversation that fails to load on a poor connection now keeps trying and fills itself in as soon as the connection recovers, instead of staying empty until you switch away and back.
Reordering your servers now survives a reload and a partial update from the server.
The newest messages stay pinned above the message box as it grows and shrinks.
Opening a one-view photo no longer disturbs how that same message appears elsewhere in the app.
Joining a server you are banned from now clearly tells you that you are banned instead of failing without explanation.
Servers that have been deleted no longer linger in your server list.
Clicking a notification now opens the conversation it belongs to instead of only bringing the window to the front.
Notifications for direct messages now respect your mutes, and no longer reveal the message of a conversation that is locked with a pincode.
A locked conversation keeps its unread marker until you have actually read it.
A ghost message that is being read no longer disappears in front of you; it stays until you leave the conversation.
A photo with animated stickers now plays right in the conversation instead of looking like a video that will not start.
The typing indicator no longer goes missing when you start typing in one channel shortly after another.
The groups in the member list now appear in the same order in every channel.
The list shown when hovering over a conversation keeps its position while it updates.
Who is present in a channel is refreshed again after unlocking your screen or waking your computer.
Short conversations no longer keep asking for older messages that do not exist.
Screen sharing now tells you when it is unavailable instead of appearing to do nothing.
Links written without a scheme, such as amazon.nl/product, are now recognised and clickable, and www. links no longer open as relative pages.
Sharing to another app via the native share sheet no longer intermittently does nothing.
A newly accepted direct message request no longer shows an impossible age such as "2951w ago".
Avatars that were still round in a few places now use the same slightly rounded square shape as everywhere else.
Replying to a message no longer briefly shows "message not found" in your own reply while it is being sent.
Your presence in a direct message now ends when the conversation is no longer on screen or a game opens over it, and returns when you come back, so the other person only sees you there when you really are.
A direct message popped out to its own window no longer loses your presence when you leave the conversation in the main window, and vice versa.
The remaining English texts in the Dutch app, including the direct message intro, the ghost message explanation and the pincode lock, are now in Dutch.
Your own messages no longer flicker or briefly appear twice right after sending.
When you send several messages in a row, the sender name and avatar no longer flicker and each message groups with the one above straight away, even right after a photo or a link preview.
Messages that went missing in a gap in the conversation are now recovered automatically, and when the server cannot deliver them the conversation is reloaded instead of being left with a gap.
Reconnecting after sleep, a dropped connection or a long idle period now reliably catches up on the messages you missed, without having to switch away and back.
Messages no longer appear out of order after a reconnect, such as older messages showing up below newer ones.
Duplicate copies of the same message no longer appear in the conversation, including messages sent while you are signed in on several devices.
The same batch of messages is no longer re-downloaded on every reconnect.
Empty channels no longer reload every time you revisit them.
The verified checkmark now appears only on messages genuinely sent by mssgs, not on every bot or webhook message.
Your exact location is no longer written to the local log files.
The dock badge no longer shows phantom unread counts or loses track of unread direct messages.
The privacy blur in pop-out direct message windows works again.
Creating servers, channels, and invites is smoother, and group membership changes now appear immediately.
Story rings on direct messages appear as soon as your friends list has loaded.
Changes to the channel order are now saved and stay in sync across devices.
AI integrations: the AI now marks a channel read only when it consumes a message that mentions it (or reads a DM), instead of clearing unreads on every poll.
Direct-message voice calls are more reliable: answering, canceling, and ending a call now stay in sync on both sides, and you are prompted to end the call when the other person leaves.
Editing a message no longer loses line breaks and spacing when the editor is pre-filled.
Connected AI bots now receive new messages in realtime across all their exposed channels instead of repeatedly re-fetching channel history, greatly reducing server load.
Reading an empty channel through a connected AI tool no longer triggers a needless history fetch on every read.
Switching back to a recently viewed channel no longer briefly flickers while its messages refresh.
The introduction placeholder in a new direct-message conversation now disappears as soon as the first message arrives.
Server search results now show each server’s icon and the correct member count.
A brief network change no longer triggers an update error notification.
A message that fails to display no longer blanks the whole channel; it is replaced by a small placeholder instead.
The viewing indicator in direct messages now reports your device type, so chat partners see the right device icon.
After reconnecting while the app window is hidden, you are no longer wrongly shown as viewing a direct message.
AI tools can now reliably edit and delete the messages they send.

Server settings now have a Bans tab that shows everyone who is banned from your server and the reason for each ban.
Usernames may now contain hyphens when registering a new account.
AI assistants connected through the Integrations settings now follow the account you are actively using, accept larger uploads, and can read the full content of embed cards.
A message with several photos now appears as one compact album, with the number of extra photos on the last tile; opening any tile still shows every photo of the message full screen.
Right-clicking an image in a conversation now offers Copy, Download and Copy image address.
Settings has a new Map & Filters tab with your map preferences and an overview of the filters you submitted, including their status and vote counts. Right-clicking a submission copies its identifier or image address.
AI assistants can now look up the map filters you submitted, including whether each one was approved, denied or is still waiting on moderators.
Invite & Win: an occasional popup introduces the invite campaign, and a new tab in Settings shows your invite link, your progress toward the reward and how each invited friend is doing.
Invite links from the website are now picked up by the app: the code is remembered and claimed automatically the first time you log in.
The popup for starting a direct message now includes a QR code, so someone next to you can add you as a friend by scanning it with their phone.
Channel visibility for groups is now a three-way choice per channel: allow, inherit or deny, so a role can see everything except a specific channel.

Every supported AI client, such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Codex, can be connected to mssgs from the Integrations settings with one click, or by copying a ready-made configuration where one click is not available.

The game lobby Invite button now opens a friends picker to invite someone by direct message instead of only copying a join code.
Play games together in direct messages: Battleship, Four in a Row, Checkers, Snake, and Polymono with up to four players.
Polymono plays on an isometric 3D board with your avatars as tokens: buy streets, build houses and hotels, and land on Free Parking to win the pot that taxes and chance cards feed.
Checkers now follows authentic draughts (dammen) rules: mandatory captures, crowned double dams that fly across the board, and a choice of an 8×8 or full 10×10 board.
Four in a Row and Battleship look and feel like the mobile apps: a framed board with smooth piece physics, your fleet and your shots side by side, and a celebration for every ship you sink.
Snake uses the full window while you play and includes a Snake Capture mode.
Game hosts can tune each match with room options, such as board size and starting capital.
Game invites appear as live cards in chat that update with the lobby state, and finished games post a result card with a snapshot of the final board.
An ongoing game can be minimized to a draggable pill so you can keep chatting while you play, and lobbies show a QR code for quickly joining from another device.

File attachments are wider and easier to read: archives like ZIP show their file type, and the full filename appears on hover.
Bot accounts can now set a custom presence status through connected AI tools, shown next to their name in the member list, with a tooltip to read it in full when it is too long to fit.
Bot accounts can now post rich embed cards with action buttons through connected AI tools, and receive button presses, reactions, and replies live. Cards can include images and file attachments, and show their message text inside the card with mentions as pills.
