Commands from communities and bots
Type / at the start of a message. The Commands list shows every command this community, or this bot, offers. Pick one and it runs. A community might have /standup or /poll, a weather bot /weather.
These commands are triggers: the community or bot decides what they do, usually by calling a web service and posting the answer. Building them is covered in the slash command documentation.

The desktop app also has a few classics that turn into text:
