Community Moderators
The voice of the community determines what is and isn't allowed. Not us.
Why community moderation?
On most platforms, a company decides what you can and can't say. We believe the community itself knows best what's acceptable.
On Community Servers, reported content is not reviewed by mssgs employees. Instead, volunteer Community Moderators — real users like you — vote on whether the content violates the rules. Only after multiple independent votes is action taken.
This creates a fair, transparent system where the power lies with the users. No corporate censorship, no hidden algorithms — just the voice of the community.
Note: Community moderation only applies to Community Servers. Business servers manage their own moderation.
How it works
From report to action — entirely by the community
Click "Yes" 3 times to see what happens. Each report is reviewed by at least 3 independent moderators.
Why this works
A fairer system for everyone
Democratic
No single person or company has the power to remove content. Multiple independent votes are required.
Transparent
You can see why content was removed and how many moderators voted. No hidden decisions.
Fair
Moderators come from the community itself. They understand the context and culture better than any company ever could.
Fast
With thousands of volunteer moderators, reports are reviewed quickly. No waiting for a support ticket.
