Tools Overview
The Tools tab, from alarms and an agenda to a translator and File Drop, plus the tools inside every chat.
Swipe the bottom bar sideways and open Tools. Every tile is a small app of its own:
Alarms
Alarms that go off even when mssgs is closed. Wake up to your own sound with Premium.
Agenda
What you have on. Import from Apple Calendar and name your colours.
Stopwatch, Timer & Calculator
The everyday basics, without leaving the app.
Translator
Speak and translate, for a conversation across languages.
Edit a video
Cut, trim, crop and add text or sound to a clip, then export it.
File Drop
Send files to people on the same network. Receiving is free, sending (up to 20 GB) is Premium.
There is also News and Facts, ten a day. Use a tool often? Pin it to the bottom bar with the + Hotkey tile.
Tools inside your chats
- Reminders: get a nudge about a message later, or plan one for a whole group.
- Ghost mode & one-time view: messages and photos that do not stick around.
- Voice memos: record, pause, listen back, send.
- Chat locks: a code on the chats that need one.
- Watch parties & listen together: videos and music, in sync.
- Slash commands: commands from communities and bots.
