About Gears of War: E‑Day
Gears of War: E-Day is the prequel to the first Gears of War, set on the day the Locust Horde first strikes. The Coalition makes it together with People Can Fly from Poland, and it comes out on 6 October 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, on Game Pass from day one.

Questions from crews
Is mssgs free for a clan?
Yes. A community with text and voice channels, roles and invites costs nothing, and neither does the game overlay. Premium is optional: it raises the upload limit from 25 MB to 50 MB and messages from 2,000 to 5,000 characters, among other things.
Is this the official Gears of War: E-Day community?
No. mssgs has no connection to Microsoft. This page is for players who want a place of their own for their crew or squad.
Does it work when we play on a console?
Yes. Keep the call and the chat on your phone or computer while you play on PlayStation, Xbox or Switch. The overlay is for games you play on your computer.
Can friends join without installing anything?
Yes. mssgs runs in the browser as well as on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows and Linux, so an invite link works for everyone. The game overlay and clip mode are part of the desktop app.
