Connect Your AI (Claude, Cursor & more)
Three steps from zero to an AI assistant that works inside your chats - no coding required.
You need the mssgs desktop app (macOS, Windows or Linux) and an AI tool that speaks MCP - Claude Desktop and Cursor are the usual picks.
Step 1 - Enable MCP access
Step 2 - Create a token
Create a named token ("Claude laptop", for example). The token is the key your AI uses - you can see its activity and revoke it anytime.
Step 3 - Hand the config to your AI tool
Click Copy config and paste the ready-made block into your AI tool's MCP settings (Claude Desktop or Cursor). Prefer the terminal?
claude mcp add --transport http mssgs http://127.0.0.1:7444/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer <your-token>"
Full protocol details live in the MCP section of the API docs.
Try it
Ask your assistant: "What channels can you see?" - then "Summarize the last 50 messages in #general", or start a game and invite it to play.
