Memories

A private gallery of photos and videos just for you, locked with Face ID or a code.

Memories are photos and videos you save for yourself. Nobody else sees them unless you send them on.

Getting there

  • The Memories tab (swipe the bottom bar sideways).
  • Hold the camera button in any chat.
  • Settings → Your Memories.

Adding to them

  • Pick Memory when you post from the Post button.
  • Hold a photo in a chat and choose Save to Memory, or hold a story and choose Add to memory.
  • Settings → Import from Snapchat brings in your Snapchat Memories.

Finding and using them

Filter by Photos, Videos, With a place or a Period, or browse them on the Memory Map. Tap Select to save several to your camera roll, share them or delete them. Open a photo and use the scissors to cut out a sticker for your chats.

Lock them

The first time you open Memories you can protect them with Face ID (or Touch ID) or a 4-digit code. To change it later, go to Settings and hold Your Memories: Change code, switch between Face ID and a code, or Disable protection.
