Notifications
Fine-grained alerts: per-conversation mutes, per-channel control, and smart routing between devices.
Notifications should work for you, not against you. mssgs lets you tune them per conversation and per device.
The controls
- Per-DM mute - silence one conversation without leaving it
- Per-server mute - quiet a whole community; mentions still get through
- Per-channel settings - choose which channels may push and which stay silent
- Mentions -
@youalways breaks through mutes (that's the point)
Between devices
Signed in on desktop and phone? The desktop inactivity timeout routes notifications to your phone when your computer has been idle for a while - so alerts land where you actually are. On macOS, unread counts show as a Dock badge.
Getting nothing at all? Check your system notification permissions for mssgs first - see Common Issues.
